My journey into nutrition wasn’t just professional—it was personal. In 2014, my beautiful child was hospitalized for a month with what was eventually diagnosed as Crohn’s disease, an autoimmune condition. We followed the conventional path: immune-suppressing infusions, steroids, and a prescribed diet that surprisingly included mostly processed foods and lacked nutrient-dense, whole foods. It made no sense to me.
I couldn’t help but wonder: Could food be making things worse—or better?
Doctors dismissed my concerns, but I turned to the mom network and lots of research. What I discovered was life-changing. We implemented a specific nutritional approach, and within three months, everything changed. My child’s debilitating symptoms eased, and biomarkers for disease significantly improved—all through food.
Today, this approach is validated by leading institutions like Stanford Children’s Health, which now uses The Crohn’s Disease Diet as a first-line intervention.
Inspired by this transformation, I enrolled at Bauman College to study the science and biology of nutrition. Along the way, I realized something even more powerful: nutrition can change the trajectory of chronic disease—long before a diagnosis. Biomarkers for conditions like Diabetes, Cardiovascular Disease, and Alzheimer’s can be positively influenced through food and lifestyle choices.
This understanding has become the foundation of my work, empowering others to take proactive steps toward lifelong health. Whether you're managing a condition, pursuing a goal, or striving for optimal wellness, we will use science-backed strategies to achieve measurable results.
I am a certified Health Coach and Holistic Nutrition Consultant who can guide you on your journey to better health. Together, we can build a sustainable strategy that fits your life and your goals.
The pillars of my nutrition philosophy:
Small diet and lifestyle shifts, over time, can provide substantial health outcomes. These small changes boost metabolism, stabilize blood sugar, provide essential nutrients and build a healthy microbiome with positive downstream effects.
Whole foods, simply prepared, can be delicious, nourishing and even glamorous.
The food you eat is only part of the picture. Regular exercise, good sleep, stress relief and community are also important.
I earned my bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and hold a Nutrition Consultant Certificate (NC) from Bauman College of Holistic Nutrition and Culinary Arts. Additionally, I am a Certified Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Beyond my formal training, I have had the privilege of serving on the Family Advisory Council at Stanford Children’s Health | Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, contributing to meaningful conversations about patient and family care.
